Flurin Borg Madsen
However the world does not rotate around the sun screeching and grinding to give people something to laugh and amuse themselves, 2005
Installation
In Flurin Borg Madsen’s installation the stage set, a dramatic narration and automation form an odd fusion with profane everyday courses: walking, arranging a blanket, sharpening a pencil etc. All actions are carried out with electronically controlled devices, which – with references to the kinetic art of the 1960s – create an irritating relation between the self-generating infinite course and the economisation of everyday actions.
