“Kabulistan” is a derisory reference to the Afghan president’s sphere of influence being essentially restricted to Kabul. The Videothek “Kabulistan” presents a small selection of contemporary and historical films from and about Afghanistan. Local perspectives are interwoven with international perceptions. The Videothek is also supplemented by photographs taken in Kabul during the period between 2002 and 2006.
