Karoline Walter, Guten Abend, gute Nacht - Eine kleine Kulturgeschichte des Schlafs
BOOK PRESENTATION

Our current Exhibition Sleeping with a Vengeance, Dreaming of Life makes the optimization trend of sleep, among other things, a subject of discussion. Karoline Walter, cultural scientist, has written a book that deals with exactly that topic. The publication carries out a cultural history of sleep. How, when and where do we sleep? From mythologies that tell of the creation of the world from sleeping primeval creatures to the idea of a never resting God at work to the various conventions, whether alone at night, in multitudes or in bed with farm animals - Karoline Walter has uncovered them, the stories of sleep.
