On June 21, professional musicians and amateur instrumentalists will celebrate Europe in its musical diversity: For the second time, the Stuttgart cluster of the Association of European Cultural Institutes EUNIC will host the German version of "Fête de la Musique".

Together with the pianist Vlad Iftinca, the International Opera Studio of the Stuttgart State Opera will interpret well-known arias and ensembles of opera literature from Donizetti to Duparc. The five student musicians of the Stuttgart Urban Reed Quintett musically explore the theme of "wood" in their program "Back to the Roots" with Schumann's "Forest Scenes", "Refraction" by David Biedenbender and Marc Mellit's "Splinter". Afterwards, soprano Bianca Rossi joins jazz musicians Lorenzo Petrocca Jazzguitarist and Francesco Petrocca to present Italian classics from the 1950s and 60s. Musician Kitti Tordai and her fusion formation Absolut Kitti will close the evening with an innovative blend of pop and electro.
