Wir sind Hanau

Querungen
February 19 – April 9, 2023

On February 19, 2023, the third anniversary of the right-wing extremist terrorist attack in Hanau, Migrantifa Stuttgart in cooperation with the Württembergischer Kunstverein will open the exhibition WE ARE HANAU as part of the International Weeks Against Racism in 2023. This exhibition will emphasize and educate the public about the fact that the right-wing extremist and racist attack in Hanau affects all migrants in Germany. The slogan “Hanau is everywhere” plays a big role here, because while politicians and authorities talk about Hanau as an “individual case,” Migrantifa, as a movement of young people in Germany with a history of migration, counters that this is not the case. Because the fact is: right-wing extremism is a serious problem and could affect anyone in Germany, whether migrant or not.

Querungen is an open exhibition platform of the Württembergischer Kunstverein, which is used by the Kunstverein as well as by various local and regional actors.
